i've tried rigging the 5" swimbait weedless on a 5/0 wide gap hook. i've tried it on spinning and baitcasting equipment. The thing swims on its side and rolls. i've emailed about it over a week ago and got nothing. I've tried a sivel and the thing won't "swim.
I rigged it slot side down, paddle down. The way this thing rolls, I don't think it matters.

Ok. Now that we're headed into fall and winter ... what are the best activities? I guess it would depend on where you're at. Of course between work, family, fishing and ESPN, who's got time for another hobby? Well ... just in case some spare time does come up somewhere ... what's some good stuff to do in the fall and winter?
What kind of rods and reels do you use for musky fishing? I heard Abu Garcia has one specifically designed for this and I heard some good fishing can be dones with some St. Croix rods. Anyways ... do I need to get a whole new set up for fishing muskies? Or can I just use all the same stuff that I have for catching walley and bass?
Walleye on the Grill

Here's a recent recipe I found for preparing walleye:

1 cup canola oil
1/2 cup chardanay
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbls lemon pepper
1/2 tbls seasoned salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Heat gas or charcoal grill to medium high.
Mix all ingredients well.
Dredge fillets in oil mixture.
Place on grill flesh side down.
Grill until browned brush skin side with oil mixture and turn carefully.
Cook on skin side until brown and serve.
I like to serve this with sliced potatoes coated with a small amount of oil, then coated with Lipton onion soup mix then fried.

Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.
I think your problem is you're asking the wrong question.

You should be asking: what time of the day is the best time to catch walleye?

Yup. That sounds about right.
What is the best time of the day to catch bass?

I was wondering what is the best time to catch bass? I always thought it was early in the morning (I like fishing, but oh man getting up early is a killer). Recently though a friend of mine was finishing up fishing about sundown. After catching nothing, he docked his boat and prepared to leave. Just as he was doing that though he started seeing other people catch a whole bunch of fish.

I guess that makes sense. Fish eating for breakfast and then eating for dinner. Anyone know of the best times to catch bass?
_________________
Bass Bass Bass
